McKenzie Road was invited to play at the Safeway Mens' Curling Championship hosted in Steinbach, MB at the T.G. Smith Arena. The event was a huge success. The provincial championship brought some of Manitoba's most talented curlers out along with thousands of fans. The stands were packed! Congratulations to the Stoughton Team for winning the Championship and becoming team Manitoba!
Along with the Curling Championship, there was an area to relax between games, get a bite to eat and enjoy some of Steinbach's amazing talent. The Stony Brook Lounge presented an array of musicians including Corny Rempel, Asham Stompers, and Jammin' Sam to name a few.
On June 10, 2010, McKenzie Road together with their brother Corny Rempel is hosting a food drive for the Southeast Helping Hands. The Steinbach Arts Council puts on a Concert in the Park series every year drawing in many people and performers from throughout the southeast region of Manitoba. This year, McKenzie Road, Corny Rempel, the SAC and Southeast Helping Hands are coming together to collect food and necessities for the less fortunate people of the Steinbach area.
